This is such a great deal. We take the short one mile walk to Liberty Station and enjoy a fabulous breakfast at Fig Tree Cafe.

Foothill Adventure
Visiting Indigeny was just an afterthought but it should have been the plan for the day. It was wonderful. This new business is doing everything right and should be totally supported...which won't be difficult at all because its products are wonderful!!! We were welcomed at the tasting bar by the owner and then offered a tour of his amazing facility. Just lucky I guess. Did I mention that it was a free tasting bar! It is.
Apple cider, apple brandy and even vodka- it's amazing what he has done with his sustainable, organic and beautiful Sonoran apple orchard!

Like a Day At the Beach
When someone says,"like a day at the beach", this is the day they're talking about!!!
Clear, clean water at 72 degrees, bright sun, easy rolling surf, and even a pod of dolphins catching the waves with the surfers. We started our beach walk at 10:00 am, passed under the Pacific Beach pier, then turned back to Bemont Park to swim. 4.5 miles total without running into many tourists. The majority of whom seemed to be foreign and very happy I think to have missed the student crowd as school starts in San Diego the day after Labor Day!
We were pretty happy about it too.
This is a shot of my new Target swim suit. Since I forgot mine at home I found this clearance"deal".
I didn't realize until later (and with glasses on) that it is a Spanx suit. Wow is it ever tight. Does the job though and works well in the water.

San Diego Adventure on Public Transportation
Because it was a holiday this bus only ran once per hour. We arrived at the transportation center in Old Town in time to hop on the green line to the Gaslamp/Petco Park@2 for one today.
Another deal.
This stop with a view of the tall ships is where we wanted to get back on after the game. It is called County Center/Little Italy.
So we made it to Gaslamp with time to look around and even eat if we wanted to.
But we just enjoyed the downtown "vibe" before walking the two blocks to the stadium.
Convention Center and the Tony Gwynn statue.
Our one hour walk back began at the Hilton, past the luxury yachts, through SeaportVillage, the Midway aircraft carrier Museum, along the waterfront, through the new water park and right to the Little Italy trolly stop.
Caught bus 28 back to Point Loma at 5:30 and were home at 5:55!!
No traffic or parking worries all day!!!
Total cost for bus and trolly $5.90.
Amazing!
